Ranveer Singh starrer 83 The Film declared tax free in Delhi, ahead of release

Ranveer Singh starrer 83 The Film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24. The film has not yet been released, but the buzz about it is much stronger. The movie has been riding high on positive reviews from critics. Ahead of the release of 83 The Film, director, filmmaker Kabir Khan made an announcement and thanked the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal announced the film tax-free in Delhi. Kabir Khan thanked Kejriwal for the gesture and said it will propagate the tale of India’s greatest victory to a wider audience.

On Instagram, Kabir Khan made a post and shared the poster of the film, featuring Ranveer. He wrote, “Thank you, Shri. @arvindkejriwal ji and Shri. msisodia.aap ji, for declaring the film 83 tax-free in Delhi! Your gesture will able us to propagate the tale of India’s greatest victory to a wider audience. @therealkapildev #ThisIs83. (sic)”

Talking about 83, the film is scheduled to release on December 24 in languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Meanwhile, the film stars Ranveer Singh playing the role of former Indian cricket team captain, Kapil Dev. The movie is based on the victory of the Indian cricket team during the 1983 World Cup. It also features Deepika Padukone essaying the character of Romi Dev. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree.

Bollywood Bubble rated 83 The Film with 4 stars and said, “Ranveer Singh starrer is a live nerve wrecking match you’ll regret missing.” An excerpt from the review reads: “The biggest achievement of Kabir Khan is that he allowed every actor to get inspired by the real heroes without making it look caricature. He combined sports with politics with a brilliance, perhaps only he can instill.”
