Ranveer Singh starts training under Lloyd Steven for his beefed up look in ‘SIMMBA’

Power-house performer Ranveer Singh is on roll. The actor wowed everyone with his terrific performance as Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’. After the super success of Bhansali’s film, Ranveer Singh is gearing up with not one but three films.

The livewire actor is now all set to collaborate with hit machine filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The duo will be working together in the Hindi remake of South film ‘Temper’. Rohit Shetty has asked the actor to beef up as he will be playing a cop in the film.

Talking about his preparations for the film, Ranveer told Bollywood Life, “Rohit Shetty Sir has told me a long time back and was very clear of the kind of physique he wanted ‘Simmba’ to have. So, now it’s time to put the blinkers on and put my head down and work hard and deliver the physique that Rohit Shetty Sir wants!”(Also Read: Ranveer Singh is all set to enthrall the audience with THESE 3 movies)

“It involves a little bit of more work than one would do if one was starting of the process without an injury. The good part is that I have been into weightlifting since I was 16 years old so my muscle memory is very good. To go from lean to bulk, I had the support and advantage of my muscle’s own memory. I have a very responsive physique and I am lucky that I have that.” the actor added further.

For his beefed-up look in ‘Simmba’ the actor is reuniting with his  ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Befikre’ trainer Lloyd Steven. While talking about his reunion with Lloyd, the 32-year-old actor said, “I am also reuniting with Lloyd – we worked on Leela, partly for ‘Gunday’ & ‘Padmaavat’ and completely for ‘Befikre’. He is the best in the business and I am glad to have him onboard for ‘Simmba’. He has just done a super successful physical transformation with Jr. NTR for SS Rajamouli’s film – so I am excited to be back with him again.”

Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan will be paired opposite Ranveer in this Rohit Shetty directorial. The film is scheduled to hit the silver screens in December this year.
