Revealed: Why Ranveer Singh was touched by Katrina and Anushka’s gesture

Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Italy late last year. The couple later hosted a grand reception for their near and dear ones in Bollywood. Celebs including Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma and many others attended the wedding reception.

While Katrina was touted to have a deep rivalry with Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma also has not shared a great friendship with the ‘Padmaavat’ actress. However, both Kaif and Anushka attended the wedding and wished the couple well. Apparently, Ranveer was touched with this gesture.

Recently, in a talk show, Ranveer revealed that Katrina and Anushka weren’t there for the sake of it. The ‘Simmba’ actor further stated that he believed that they were there to wish them well, which was a really lovely gesture. He also noted that it was very significant and special for him that Anushka came and that it meant a lot to him.

It is to be noted that Ranveer was earlier rumoured to be in a romantic relationship with Anushka Sharma. The two always remained friends and also featured in a movie post their break up. Anushka is now happily married to Virat Kohli.

On the work front, Ranveer is currently riding high due to the success of his latest movie ‘Simmba’. The film which was released on December 28, 2018 was produced and directed by Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar.

The actor is now looking forward to the release of his next film ‘Gully Boy’. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin in major roles. It will release on February 14. Deepika, on the other hand, will begin shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhappak’ co-starring Vikrant Massey in March.
