Ranveer Singh’s grandmother passes away

This morning is not the same for Ranveer Singh. The 32-year-old actor’s grandmother passed away after suffering from a brief illness. Ranveer, who has been close to his Nani is shocked after her sudden demise and has postponed all his work commitments as of now.

Ranveer’s team confirmed the same by giving out a statement in the press.  Ranveer Singh was supposed to attend an event today but it was cancelled last moment citing his grandmother’s death.  The statement read,” EVENT CANCELLATION – We are sorry to inform you that the Switzerland Tourism press conference with Ranveer Singh that was scheduled for today at 1.30pm at Lands End has been cancelled due to the sudden demise of Ranveer Singh’s grandmother. Ranveer has been extremely fond of her grandmother and her special besan laddoos.  In an interview with Grazia, the actor had mentioned about how his grandmother is the reason he has grown up to be so affectionate. “As important to me as oxygen and water. I am very affectionate with everybody – my fans, my family. I was raised that way. My grandmother mollycoddled me. There was lots of hugging and kissing in my house,” he had said.

On the work front, the actor will soon be seen in ‘Simmba’, ‘Gully Boy’ and ’83’.
