Ranveer Singh’s latest statement leaves us heartbroken

Just few days back, we had come across a statement by the producer of ‘Singh is Kinng’ sequel, Shailendra Singh, who said that he had narrated the script of the same to Ranveer Singh and the latter had expressed interest. We were absolutely exhilarated as the original that starred Akshay Kumar is an absolute entertainer, and in his absence, Ranveer would have been the perfect surd. However, looks like our excitement was there for just some time. Ranveer’s spokesperson has issued a statement, expressly denying that he is going to be a part of the sequel. (Also Read: Not to miss! Ranveer’s spokesperson said, “In lieu of the current spate of stories, we would like to highlight that Ranveer Singh is not in talks for any other film except the ones he is currently doing. His slate is as follows: Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, Rohit Shetty’s next and Kabir Khan’s 83. As always there will be a formal announcement made once he signs his next set of films.”

Well, we surely are disappointed. It would have been absolutely amazing to watch Ranveer stepping into the shoes of Akshay Kumar.

Currently, Singh is garnering praises from all corners for his deadly portrayal of Sultan Alauddin Khilji in the upcoming magnum opus of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Padmavati’. Apart from Ranveer, the movie stars Deepika Padukone in the titular role and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh.
