Ranvir Shorey, who is currently in quarantine with his son Haroon narrated his ordeal after he opened up about the COVID diagnosis in a social media post. Ranvir revealed that he and his son were ‘hounded out of a hotel room’ after he spoke about Haroon’s COVID diagnosis. It was on December 28 that Shorey shared about Haroon testing positive for COVID. He even mentioned that he has tested negative after being fully vaccinated. Ranvir Shorey had taken to his social media handles to inform about Haroon’s COVID diagnosis.
The Sonchiriya actor took to his Instagram to narrate the ordeal and wrote, “As a result of my SM post, meant for the common good, we were almost hounded out of our hotel room, where we were quarantining, due to other guests pressurising the hotel about us staying here. Society’s capacity for unscientific discrimination has been on full display. (sic).”
Ranvir further added, “People who wanted selfies until a day before were blackmailing the hotel for discounts and refunds, because we were in one of the rooms! Will always remember this experience. It makes me wonder if the world deserves honesty at all. (sic)”

For the unversed, Shorey had shared the news about his son’s diagnosis on his Twitter. He had tweeted, “Good news is that #Covaxin works. Bad news is that we will have to remain isolated for the next week. What a welcome from 2022.”

Earlier, Ranvir Shorey had mentioned that his son Haroon had tested positive for COVID after taking the RT-PCR from their flight back to Mumbai (from Goa). He even mentioned that Haroon and he were both asymptomatic and still immediately got quarantined until the further investigations.
