Rashami Desai reveals details of her horrific casting couch experience

Former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant Rashami Desai recently revealed that she too experienced casting couch when she had just entered the glamour world at the tender age of 16. The actress revealed how a man tried to spike her drink and molest her.

Recalling the horrific details of her casting couch experience, Rashami told Pinkvilla, “When I started my career 13 years ago, I was very young and from a completely non-filmy background. I didn’t know anyone from the industry. I still remember that I was told if you don’t go through casting couch, you won’t get work. His name is Suraj and I don’t know where he’s now. The first time we met, he asked me about my statistics and I didn’t know what it meant back then. I told him I don’t know and he knew that she’s completely unaware of things. He was the first person who tried taking advantage of me and tried to molest me in some or the other way.”

The actress further added that when she went to give her audition, there was no one except for that guy. There were not even any cameras. Somehow she managed to get away from him that day. The next day Rashami went to meet that man again alongwith her mother and this time the latter gave him a resounding slap.

“My mother told him, ‘If you do this again with my daughter, you remember that this just the beginning, next time I’ll screw you’,” signed off the actress.
