Actress Rashmika Mandanna missed the grand Mumbai premiere of Chhaava due to a leg injury. Despite this setback, the dedicated actress actively promoted the historical drama alongside her co-star Vicky Kaushal across the country. While she couldn’t attend the premiere in person, Rashmika made sure her presence was felt in a unique way.

Adding a fun touch, Rashmika cleverly photoshopped herself onto the red carpet alongside Vicky, making sure she was still part of the celebration in her own way. She captioned the story, “Sorry Maharaj couldn’t be there with you and the troop to be a part of this memorable night. But as you clearly see yeh sakhi hamesha apne shree ke mann mai rehti hai.”

Rashmika talked about playing the role of Maharani Yesubai in Chhaava. Speaking to PTI she said, “I didn’t expect that it would come to me. And this was a massivehugeig opportunity. They told me to figure out the language bit of it, and everything else will be taken care of. And for me, I was like, ‘okay, these are characters from our history books, so I can’t get it wrong. So what can I do more to get this right?’ After that, of course, we sat for months and months for the language bit of it and in the end, during the dubbing time, we got it right. We pretty much reached where we wanted to go.”
In Chhaava, Vicky plays the lead role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the famous Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. His valiant struggle to protect the Maratha Empire against the infamous Mughal tyrant Aurangzeb is depicted in the movie. The historical drama, which was directed by Laxman Utekar, also features important performances from Vineet Kumar Singh, Divya Dutta, Diana Penty, and Akshaye Khanna.
