In a now deleted post, Raveena Tandon apologised for 'accidentally' liking a post that thrashed the acting of Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor in The Archies.

Raveena Tandon needs no introduction. The actress keeps making headlines for multiple reasons. Recently, Raveena grabbed attention after she liked a post criticising Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor’s acting in their debut Netflix film The Archies. Many netizens slammed her for doing so and some even reminded her of daughter Rasha Thadani, who will be making her debut in Bollywood soon. After the post went viral, Raveena clarified that she ‘accidentally’ liked the post and also apologised to the The Archies team.

In a now deleted Instagram post, Raveena wrote, “Touch buttons and social media. A genuine mistake has been blow out of proportion. The like was made in error and something that I was not even aware of that has been pressed by scrolling. I sincerely apologise for my inconvenience and hurt it may have caused.”

For the uninitiated, a Reddit post recently went viral in which a particular social media page criticised Agastya and Khushi’s acting in The Archies. The post also mentioned that Raveena liked the video. And soon, it took the social media by storm.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, The Archies stars Agastya, Khushi, Suhana Khan, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. Agastya stars as Archie Andrews, Suhana plays the role of Veronica Lodge, and Khushi stars as Betty Cooper. On the other hand, Mihir plays Jughead Jones, Vedang Raina plays the role of Reginald Mantle, and Dot is Ethel Muggs. With The Archies, Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi have made their Bollywood debut.

Bollywood Bubble gave The Archies ‘3.5’ stars. A part of the review read, “If you’re looking for a feel-good movie this weekend then The Archies is the one for you. What more? It also has some brilliant performances, heartwarming love stories and music to die for. The makers have given the American comic an Indian touch to strike the right chord while exuding retro vibes with a touch of quirk and well, it’s a win-win for everyone.”

About Rasha’s Bollywood debut

On the other hand, Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani will be reportedly making her debut in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor’s untitled next with Ajay Devgn and Aman Devgan.
