Amid growing coronavirus scare, people across the globe are avoiding handshakes to greet each other. They are now greeting in the traditional Indian way of ‘namaste’. A video of Prince Charles has surfaced today where he could be seen greeting people with a ‘namaste’ at the yearly Prince’s Trust Awards, which was held on Wednesday (March 11) at the London Palladium.
In the video, we see Prince Charles getting out of his vehicle and extending his hand to greet a person and then he quickly greeted with a namaste as a precautionary measure for Covid-19 (Coronavirus). This gesture has left us impressed. ABC News has posted the video and called the namaste a ‘prayer-like gesture’. This didn’t go well with Bollywood actress with Raveena Tandon and she bashed the channel with her tweet.
She tweeted, “It’s a “Namaste”. Do some homework”.

Everyone around the world is advocating this traditional way of greeting as a precaution and it really makes sense to avoid the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
Coronavirus has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Starting from Wuhan, China, it has now spread to almost all countries including India. In most of the states, schools, colleges, theatres and tourist spots are to remain closed till further notice.
