Raveena Tandon opens up on her current equation with ex Akshay Kumar

A video of exes Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar from an event went on viral on social media a few days ago. The former couple shared a hug on stage and broke the internet. Now, days after the viral moment, Raveena opened up about her current equation with Akshay. The actress called him a ‘friend’.

Speaking with ETimes, Raveena said, “Akshay and I are still friends. There’s a journey in everyone’s life. You need to respect it and move on. I think of him very highly. I think he is one of the strongest pillars of our industry.”

Raveena and Akshay first worked together in Mohra (1994). Reportedly, they then started dating each other. They were also seen together in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Aan: Men At Work, Barood, and Police Force: An Inside Story. As per reports, they took their relationship to the next level and were engaged. However, the engagement was called off.

Raveena once spoke about her broken engagement and told ANI, “We were a hit pair. During Mohra, and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck to my head, I don’t know why. Everyone moves on, people have divorces, they move on, what’s the big deal?”

Both Raveena and Akshay have moved on in their lives. Khiladi Kumar is married to Twinkle Khanna and they have two children – Aarav and Nitara. On the other hand, Raveena is married to Anil Thadani. They are parents to two children – Rasha and Ranbirvardhan.
