Really! Did Aishwarya Rai Bachchan call Rekha ‘maa’?

Sansui Stardust Awards 2016 had Bollywood attending in strength, but a shocking event unfolded when it was telecast on National Television. The highlight of the entire show was when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan received the award from Rekha.

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was honoured with a special award for her performance in comeback film Jazbaa. The beauty who graced the occasion with pa-in-law did something shocking while accepting the award from Bollywood’s eternal beauty Rekha. She referred to Rekha as ‘maa’ on stage in front of the national audience.

Aishwarya was conferred the award by Rekha while receiving it Aishwarya said, “It’s great to receive it from maa.” Rekha on her part without blinking replied, “I hope I can come and present this to you for many more years.” The moment the duo said these words all eyes turned towards Amitabh Bachchan who was present at the event.

It is known that Rekha and Jaya Bachchan share a history thanks to Amitabh Bachchan who was rumoured to be in a relationship with the Diva. Though at a recent award function Jaya and Rekha were spotted hugging each other, things are not hunky-dory between the two. Aishwarya’s remark will not go down well in the Bachchan household.
