Everyone is aware of the fact that Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh share a good camaraderie. The duo was last seen in ‘Gunday’ (2014) and since then their bond grew stronger. They call each other ‘baba’ but do you know why they have started calling each other by this name?
Arjun has spilt the beans over the baba thing. In a recent interview with journalist Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra, the ‘Half Girlfriend’ actor said that John Abraham is the reason behind it. He said, “If you ever meet John, John will talk to you saying, “Baba you are looking so good. Baba, Baba, how are you, Baba? Hi Baba, long time, Baba”. So, John always used to say Baba-Baba and I’ve assisted with him. One day John met us at ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ screening. We had just signed ‘Gunday’, and he was talking to us and he kept talking to us saying, “Baba you should do this” and “Baba you should do that” and then he went and then two Babas were born.”
Arjun and Ranveer give us BFF and bromance goals and we wish to see them back together on-screen.
On the professional front, Arjun is gearing up for Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s ‘Namastey England’ along with Parineeti Chopra. Also, he has ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and ‘Panipat’ too in his kitty. Ranveer, on the other hand, will be seen playing a cop in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ opposite Sara Ali Khan. ‘Gully Boy’, ’83’, and ‘Takht’ are also in the pipeline for Ranveer Singh.
