Rekha receives a heart-warming birthday wish from Shabana Azmi: ‘Jeete raho khush raho’

Legendary Bollywood actor Rekha celebrates her birthday today, on Sunday. As the actress turned a year older, on this special day, Shabana Azmi made a heart-warming post on her Instagram for Rekha. She shared a timeless throwback photograph of Rekha and her. Sharing the picture, Shabana Azmi penned some sweet words for her dearest friend and showered love on Rekha. The veteran actress wished Rekha and showered blessings on her. She even prayed for Rekha’s happiness. Shabana Azmi said she cherishes the friendship she has with Rekha, her warmth and her honour.

Shabana Azmi shared a picture and wrote, “Salgirah mubarak Re. Jeete raho khush raho . Bahut saara pyar. I cherish our friendship, your warmth and your humour. Salamat raho (sic)”

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut made a heartfelt post and wished Rekha on her birthday. She called the senior actor her ‘godmother’ and called her the ‘epitome of grace’.

Rekha was born on October 10, 1954, to South Indian actors Gemini Ganesan and Pushpavalli. She was born Bhanurekha Ganesan. The actress turned 67 today.

On the work front, Rekha’s voice can be heard in the second promo of Bigg Boss 15. Rekha was the Vishwa Sundari that Salman, posing as a forest officer of the jungle, was talking to. She also made a special appearance in the introductory video of the TV show Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein.
