Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Karisma, and the Kapoor family reunited to celebrate the RK Film Festival. They honoured the centenary of Indian cinema icon Raj Kapoor in Mumbai. The event was a star-studded affair, attracting numerous Bollywood celebrities. But it was Rekha who captured the spotlight with a touching moment shared with Agastya Nanda. He is the grandson of her Silsila co-star Amitabh Bachchan.

At the festivities, Rekha was seen sharing warm smiles and engaging in conversation with Ranbir Kapoor and Agastya Nanda. A delightful video of her interaction with Agastya surfaced on social media, showcasing their bond. In the clip, Rekha affectionately hugs Agastya and gently holds his face. She appears to pay him a compliment that lights up his expression. In a sweet gesture of respect and admiration, Agastya bows and performs a namaste in response.

Before this heartwarming exchange, Rekha was captured gazing at a poster of Raj Kapoor, visibly moved by the moment. Agastya attended the event alongside his mother, Shweta Bachchan, and sister, Navya Naveli Nanda. The Nandas share a familial tie with the Kapoors, as their paternal grandmother, Ritu Nanda, is Raj Kapoor’s daughter.

The RK Film Festival was organized by PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation. It is dedicated to celebrating Raj Kapoor’s cinematic legacy on his 100th birth anniversary. The three-day festival kicked off on Friday and is set to showcase ten of Kapoor’s classic films. Aag, Barsaat, Awaara, Shree 420, Jagte Raho, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Sangam, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby, and Ram Teri Ganga Maili will be showcased. It will be shown in select PVR INOX theatres across 40 cities.

Alongside the Kapoor family, celebrities such as Mahesh Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Boney Kapoor, Rashika Duggal, Soni Razdan, Shahin Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Padmini Kolhapure, and many others graced the star-studded event with their presence.

Agastya Nanda made his film debut last year in Zoya Akhtar’s coming-of-age period drama, The Archies. It was released on Netflix India, though it received mixed reviews. Currently, he is preparing for his big-screen debut. Reports suggest that he will take on the lead role in filmmaker Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis. This biopic of 1971 war hero Arun Khetarpal. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan and will also feature Dharmendra in a significant role.
