The ‘Mani Hoon Na’ actress’ elder daughter Renee Sen recently made her acting debut with Suttabaazi. Just like her mother, Renee is also very clear about what she wants in her life. Renee is also very emotional when it comes to her mother.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Renee finally broke her silence on how their family dealt with the trying time when Sushmita was diagnosed with Addison’s disease. Read on.
In May last year, Sushmita Sen had opened up about her battle with Addison’s disease. On her official YouTube channel, the actress had posted, “After I was diagnosed with an Auto immune condition called Addison’s disease in September 2014, it left me feeling like, I had no fight left in me…A fatigued body filled with immense frustration and aggression. The dark circles under my eyes can’t even begin to explain the dark times I endured for 4 long years. To have steroids substitute cortisol and to live with its innumerable side effects took its toll. There is nothing more tiring than to live with a chronic illness.”
The Arya actress had also shared how practising meditation with Nunchaku (a Japanese martial arts tool) helped her to overcome the chronic disease. Now, opening up about the time they faced when Sushmita was diagnosed with Addison’s disease, Renee told us, “It was not easy at all. When it comes to my mother, I am extremely emotional. So no, it was not easy but her strength is what kept her as well as all of us going. I think family is very important. So it was all her and her strength.”
