Revealed: Detail about Alia Bhatt’s character in ‘Aashiqui 3’

Despite repeated assumptions, Alia Bhatt was hesitant to confirm her presence in ‘Aashiqui 3’ all this while. However, not anymore! Director Mohit Suri not only confirmed that she is a part of the film, but also revealed an important bit about her character!

Alia, who is already lending her voice for playback, is going to essay the role of a singer.

“Since it is part of the ‘Aashiqui’ franchise, Alia is playing a singer,” he told a leading daily.

Now, this gives away another important hint that this one is going to be another musical drama as well!

The male lead will be played by Alia’s rumoured beau Sidharth Malhotra. However, the makers are making slight changes to the character. The script will be written by Alia’s elder sister Shaheen Bhatt and will be produced by her uncle Mukesh Bhatt.

Mohit, who as well happens to be Alia’s cousin,is presently busy with ‘Half Girlfriend’ which stars Arjun Kapoor alongside the ‘Highway’ actress.
