Revealed! Janhvi Kapoor’s look from Gunjan Saxena biopic; view pic

Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Dhadak’. She impressed everyone with her acting though the film received some mixed reviews. Soon after the release of her first film, Janhvi Kapoor bagged her second film which is again her mentor Karan Johar’s film ‘Takht’.

Apart from ‘Takht’, Janhvi also has India’s first female combat Gunjan Saxena’s biopic in her kitty. The youngster has started shooting for the same as photos of her from the sets of the film have started doing the rounds of the social media. Dressed in a combat aviator’s uniform, Janhvi is looking every bit of a Flight Lieutenant.

In order to get the nuance of her character right, reportedly Janhvi undertook basic flying lessons. She also observed how Indian Air Force works.

In the film, Janhvi will be portraying the role of Gunjan Saxena, India’s first female combat aviator. During the Kargil war(1999), Gunjan had evacuated injured soldiers along with her colleague Srividya Rajan. Gunjan is the first woman to have received the Shaurya Vir award from the Army.

If reports are anything to by, then apparently Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan will be starring alongside Janhvi Kapoor in this biopic which will be produced by Karan Johar. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.
