REVEALED! The reason why Katrina Kaif rejected ‘Half Girlfriend’

Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Half Girlfriend‘ features Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, but not everyone knows that Shraddha wasn’t Mohit’s first choice for the flick.

Before Shraddha, Mohit had offered the role to Katrina Kaif opposite Arjun Kapoor, but she turned the offer down. A source confirms, “Katrina liked the script, but suggested he cast another actress because she might look older than Arjun, who also happens to be her close friend. This happened especially after her pairing with Aditya Roy Kapoor (in ‘Fitoor’) and Sidharth Malhotra (in ‘Baar Baar Dekho’).”

“Mohit was impressed by her honesty and signed Shraddha. In the meantime, he promised Kat that he will come back with a good script to her for his next after ‘Half Girlfriend’,” adds the source.

The reason is pretty logical.

Also featuring Rhea Chakraborty, the film releases on the May 19, 2017. The movie is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name.
