Revealed : Why Shahid Kapoor is growing a beard

Shahid Kapoor, who is diversion about exploring different avatars for his roles, had sported a moustache for ‘Mausam’ and had also shaved off his head for ‘Haider’ and now he will be growing a beard for his upcoming film ‘Rangoon’.

The actor will be next seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’, a Casablanca-like love triangle set against the backdrop of the Second World War. Shahid will be playing a role of an army officer for which the actor is growing his beard.

The film also stars Saif Ali Khan who will be seen as a film-maker while Kangana Ranaut as an actress from the ’40s.

According to sources, Shahid had the option of going for an artificial beard, but he refused to do so and insisted on growing his beard for the role.
