Tables are turned now as Sushant Singh Rajput’s father had filed an FIR at Rajendra Nagar Police Station in Bihar against Rhea Chakraborty for abetment to suicide, embezzlement, cheating and conspiracy under Sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of the IPC. Sushant’s father claimed that Rhea had distanced his son from the family, made him consume an overdose of medicines and threatened to leak his medical details to the media. She allegedly transferred Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s account to some other account. Yesterday, it was reported that Rhea was missing from her home as the Bihar Police was looking out for her.

But, a Patna police personnel clarified that the actress is not absconding. Vinay Tiwari, Central Patna SP, told Mid-Day that the police will get in touch with Rhea when required.

He said, “Aisa kuch nahin hai. At this point, we are not even trying to trace Miss Chakraborty. Preliminary enquiry is underway. There are certain basic facts that are being investigated, following which we will decide on the course of action. As, when and if she is required, we will get in touch with her.”

It took 44 days for Sushant’s family to finally break their silence and seek help from the police. The family’s lawyer explained why it took 44 days to file an FIR. “FIR registered now as family was in shock & Mumbai Police wasn’t registering FIR, but forcing them to give names of big production houses & get them involved. It was heading in a different direction,” he said as per a report in ANI.
