Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: Rhea Chakraborty arrested by NCB in ongoing drug peddling investigation

Rhea Chakraborty is arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). She is taken into custody on charges of drug procurement and consumption. She will be taken for a medical test. Earlier, Rhea’s brother Showik, Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-aide Samuel Miranda and house help Dipesh Sawant were already arrested in the drugs conspiracy case.

As per reports, the NCB is likely to file a plea before the court seeking that they need to keep all four in police remand for further questioning. As per NCB source, to break the drug cartel her custodial interrogation is needed.

Rhea was summoned by the NCB on Sunday for questioning. She was mobbed by the media as she arrived at the NCB office. The video went viral on social media and there was an outcry bashing the media for hounding her. Today was her third day in the investigations into the Sushant Singh Rajput case. She was questioned for over four hours by the NCB.

As per a report in Zee News, Rhea has confessed before the NCB that she used to smoke cigarettes filled with marijuana (ganja). She also said that she used to smoke drugs-filled cigarettes with Sushant. She even claimed that Sushant was consuming drugs since 2016.

Rhea had filed a complaint at the Bandra Police station against Sushant’s sisters under sections pertaining to cheating, forgery, abetment to suicide, criminal conspiracy and other sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
