Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise had huge repercussions in the life of Rhea Chakraborty. The actress who was in a relationship with the MS Dhoni star was accused of abetting suicide, cheating, and theft in the late actor’s house. Rhea along with her brother Showik was even arrested and had to spend months in jail before being granted bail. The NDPS Court has now accepted Rhea’s plea and defreezed all her bank accounts.
The NDPS Court has given a big relief to Rhea Chakraborty. After a span of ten months, her bank accounts have been defreezed by the NDPS Court.
Rhea Chakraborty had made a plea to the special NDPS court a long time ago. She had said that her bank accounts have been frozen for over the last 10 months. She said she needed funds to support her expenses and that of her brother.
Rhea has also put in a plea to get back her phone and laptop. The NDPS Court while agreeing to her plea has asked Rhea Chakraborty to furnish an indemnity bond of Rs 10 lakh.
In July 2020, late Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed a case against Rhea Chakraborty. He accused her of criminal conspiracy and financial fraud. This led to the CBI Enquiry and even the ED got involved. Rhea Chakraborty was taken in custody of the NCB. In March this year, a 12,000-page charge sheet was filed by the NCB which stated the actress funded drug deals and harboured offenders.
Rhea was last seen in Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hasmi starter Chehre.
