Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik gets picked up by the Narcotics Control Bureau for procedural questioning

This morning, a team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had conducted a raid on Rhea Chakraborty’s residence under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Post that, they had arrested Samuel Miranda. Now, they have also taken Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty into custody.

According to a report by NDTV, an official said, “The searches were conducted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. It’s just a procedural matter. That is what we are following.”

Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti took to her Twitter after NCB arrested Showik, Samuel and others. She wrote, “Good going NCB… Thank You God. #GreatStartNCB (sic).”

On Thursday, the NCB had also arrested some others who were linked to this case. They were discovered from Rhea and Showik’s Whatsapp chats.

Rhea had earlier claimed that she has never consumed drugs and it was Sushant who was addicted to it. According to a report by Times Now, in a statement, Rhea’s lawyer Satish  Maneshinde had earlier said, “Rhea Chakraborty has never consumed drugs in her life ever, she is ready for a blood test.”
