Rhea Chakraborty’s father on son Showik’s arrest: Congratulations India, next on the line is my daughter

Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday (September 4). The NCB team also arrested Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda.

Now, Rhea’s father Indrajit Chakraborty has issued a statement after the arrest of his son by the NCB.

Rhea’s father, Indrajit Chakraborty, who is Lt Col (retd), was quoted saying in India Today as, “Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I’m sure next on the line is my daughter and I don’t know who is next thereafter. You have effectively demolished a middle-class family. But of course, for the sake of justice, everything is justified. Jai Hind.”

Both Showik and Samuel have been arrested by NCB under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Both of them have been sent to custody till September 9. Before arresting them, a team of NCB had raided the residence of both Samuel and Showik.

Apart from these two, NCB also arrested Sushant Singh Rajput’s house help Dipesh Sawant in connection with his death case. Rhea has also be summoned by NCB today. Reportedly, Showik will be confronted with his sister today as he had given many names with whom he was allegedly dealing in drugs.

NCB started their probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case after Enforcement Directorate (ED) found drug-related chats between Rhea and others during their investigation.
