Rhea Chakraborty lambasts Sanjana Sanghi for clarifying #MeToo on Sushant Singh Rajput after 1.5 months

Rhea Chakraborty in her interview with Aaj Tak has revealed that #MeToo allegations haunted Sushant Singh Rajput. She said, “Sanjana Sanghi had alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput harassed her, and those #MeToo allegations haunted him. Sanjana hadn’t given any clarification, she finally came out 1.5 months later, but that destroyed Sushant’s mental sanity. Till then, Sushant had to come out and reveal their chats himself.”

She further said, “It was odd that it took Sanjana 1.5 months to issue a clarification. If I am doing a film, a big film, why would you take so much time to clarify the #MeToo allegations against your own co-actor? Wherever you are, you have Google, you know what is being written about you, especially if it is something so serious.”

It was in 2018, in the wake of the #MeToo movement Sushant was accused of sexual harassment. But Sanjana spoke about it much later. Earlier, Sushant’s friend, Kushal Zaveri said that these allegations disturbed the actor and he could not sleep for four nights till Sanjana came out and denied the allegations.

When asked if Sushant was targeted, Rhea said ‘absolutely’. She said that Sushant used to say he would leave everything and ‘fake articles, and the fake #MeToo allegation worked systematically to ruin his career’. “Like what is happening to me, like how I am being targetted. I understand what he was going through better today,” she said.
