‘Kya main unke wajah se apne life mein rukungi?’ Rhea Chakraborty on being ‘labelled’ post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

Rhea Chakraborty, who was in a relationship with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has been in the news for multiple reasons. Earlier this year, Rhea marked her return to TV with the popular show MTV Roadies as one of the gang leaders. On the show, Rhea Chakraborty opened up about how she had to deal with the toxic comments after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. She recalled being labelled with many names. Rhea then added that she cannot keep thinking about what others have to say about her.

The actress said, “A lot of people will say a lot of things. I have been labelled with many names, and many things have been said about me. But will I accept those labels? Kya main unke wajah se apne life mein rukungi? Bilkul bhi nahi… Let them go. Kaun hai woh (Why should I stop living my life because of others? Not at all. Who are they?)”

For the uninitiated, Rhea opened up about the negativity in her life after a contestant shared the story of her abusive relationship and what she faced because of her skin colour. An emotional Rhea then motivated her saying, “Nothing is wrong with your colour, you are absolutely beautiful and strong. Whatever bad has happened to you is because of them.”

On the other hand, Rhea’s personal life has been grabbing attention post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Sushant was found dead in 2020. Later, Rhea was accused of abetting Sushant’s alleged suicide. The actress was arrested in a drug-related case during SSR’s death probe. She was in the jail for almost a month.

On the work front, Rhea was last seen in Chehre co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. Chehre was released in 2021. The actress is yet to announce her next film.
