Actress Rhea Chakraborty was all set to fly off to Abu Dhabi for IIFA 2022. The news had sent a wave of joy among her fans. A Mumbai session Court has granted the actress permission to do so. But sadly the actress has decided to give the prestigious award ceremony a miss. This is due to a lookout notice against her.
Rhea Chakraborty has now informed the special court under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDOS) Act that she will not be attending the award ceremony. Rhea informed the court that while making an application last week seeking permission for travelling to Abu Dhabi, she was not aware that a lookout notice was issued by an agency against her.
On Wednesday, the court had ordered to hand over Rhea’s passport to her and permitted her to travel to Abu Dhabi from June 2 to 5. Riya’s lawyer had appealed to the court that the actor had to go to Abu Dhabi for IIFA 2022. She should be handed over her passport to travel abroad. The court accepted the application and directed them to hand over her passport.

On Thursday, Rhea filed an application, in which she said that she does not want to get her passport or travel abroad because of a lookout notice that has been filed against her by an agency. According to a report by Free Press Journal, the court then passed an order that her passport should not be returned to her.
Chakraborty was arrested in September 2020 by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with a drugs case filed following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
