The central government has finally approved the CBI inquiry on Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Now as per a report in Times Now, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer who had requested a protective order has been refused by the Supreme Court. So with no interim protection, the Bihar Police can now ask Rhea questions related to Sushant.
At the Supreme Court hearing, Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer Vikas Singh said that the evidence is being tampered by the Mumbai Police. At the hearing, the lawyer for Maharashtra Government, R Basant, said that the allegations against the Mumbai Police are politically motivated and Bihar Police has no right to register an FIR and investigate Sushant’s case.
As per the latest reports, the Mumbai police has been asked to submit the case files to the CBI within three days.
A few days back, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty for abetment to suicide, embezzlement, cheating and conspiracy under Sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of the IPC. The FIR was registered at Rajendra Nagar Police Station in Bihar. Singh said in his report that Rhea allegedly took away cash and jewellery from Sushant’s house. It even stated that Rhea even fired Sushant’s bodyguard on March 22. Sushant’s father also claimed that Rhea had distanced his son from the family, made him consume an overdose of medicines, and threatened to leak his medical details to the media. She even allegedly transferred Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s account to some other account.
