It’s happening! Rhea Kapoor CONFIRMS Veere Di Wedding 2 is in works

In 2018, Rhea Kapoor delivered one of the most loved and light-hearted movies, Veere Di Wedding. The girl squad, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Sonam Kapoor, and Shikha Talsania headlined Veere Di Wedding. Now, rumors and speculations about Veere Di Wedding 2 have been floating on the internet for a while. The first part was loved among the netizens, and it seems like they are up for a sequel to the movie.

Rhea Kapoor confirms Veere Di Wedding 2

Rhea Kapoor spilled the beans about Veere Di Wedding 2 in a conversation with News 18. She has said that the sequel will be different from the first part. During the interaction, Rhea said, “I’m working on Veere Di Wedding 2. It will be very different, it’s not going to be what anybody expects. I didn’t want to do it until I knew that it would be better than the first one and I knew that it was going to be hard because Veere Di Wedding is my everything.”

She added, “I didn’t want to do it if I didn’t get the same amount of joy I did from making the first one. So, yes, Veere Di Wedding 2 is in the works.”

Bollywood Bubble had exclusively learned that the script for Veere Di Wedding 2 has been locked. Released in 2018, Veere Di Wedding perfectly depicted love, friendships, and the concept of sexual liberation. Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor had produced the movie. It had emerged as a hit as it crossed the 100-crore mark at the box office.

Meanwhile, Rhea Kapoor is coming up with The Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles. The upcoming movie is slated to release on 22 March, 2024.
