Ace designer Rhea Kapoor and ad filmmaker Karan Boolani have exchanged their vows with each other in an intimate ceremony on August 14 at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu residence. As the two are enjoying marital bliss now, there was a certain section that were expecting something else from the newlyweds. Well, there were some people who wanted her to celebrate her first Karwa Chauth post her wedding with Karan. On Sunday, Rhea took to Instagram stories to pen a message, asking brands not to contact her for Karwa Chauth-related collaborations.
Moreover, she even mentioned that it is something that she and her hubby Karan don’t believe in and hence, don’t really agree with the spirit. Rhea Kapoor wrote, “Hi. Happy Sunday. Respectfully people don’t reach out to me for Karwa Chauth gifting or collabs. It’s not something Karan or I believe in. We respect other couples who partake and can even enjoy the festivities while they do. It’s just not for me. Or us. So the last thing I want to do is promote something I don’t believe in and don’t really agree with the spirit it comes from.”
Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea also gives it back to the trolls who called her silly for not participating in it post her marriage.
She further wrote, “For now I feel like if we take care of ourselves and each other we should be good. I only write this because it seems random strangers feel the need to aggressively convince me that I’m being ‘silly’, ‘have to do it’, ‘it’s my first’. No, thank you. let’s move on? If you read this thank you for giving a sh*t. I hope you enjoy your Sunday.”
