Rhea Chakraborty was sent into 14-day judicial custody after being arrested on Tuesday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Today, she was taken to Byculla jail women’s facility by the probe agency’s officials. She will be in custody there till September 22. Her bail plea was rejected yesterday. Rhea’s brother Showik was arrested on September 6 and his judicial custody has now been extended. He was arrested with Sushant’s ex-aide, Samuel Miranda. Earlier, Showik and Samuel were sent to 4-day NCB custody.
Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde informed that a special court in Mumbai will hear Rhea and Showik’s bail plea tomorrow. He told ANI, “Hearing in the bail applications of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik to be held on 10th September at Special Court, Mumbai.”

Rhea was charged under NDPS Act Sections 8(C), 20(b)(ii), 22, 27A, 28 and 29, for her alleged role in the drugs angle into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Prior to her arrest, Rhea was questioned for three days by the NCB. According to reports, it was during her bail plea that Rhea had revealed that nearly ‘80% of Bollywood celebrities take drugs’.
