Richa Chadha on dating Ali Fazal: We are not Barack Obama or Michelle Obama

Recently, actress Richa Chadha accompanied Ali Fazal for the world premiere of his debut Hollywood flick as the main lead, ‘Victoria & Abdul’. Her presence at the film festival raised many eyebrows as rumours of them dating started floating around. The fact that they walked hand in hand at the festival and were inseparable, hinted of a romance between them. In fact, one tabloid carried a report that they are soon to settle down in matrimony. Richa immediately denied these reports by tweeting, “Guys!Plz remember to invite us since u know everything already.Why stop at marriage?lets talk diapers and colleges for our kids?#FakeNews.”

Now, the actress has confirmed that they are in a relationship, but she doesn’t feel the need to say it loud and clear. So, at Tod’s store launch on Thursday, when she was asked about her trip to Venice to be by his side, she said, “People are writing shit on my social media accounts like love jihad and all that nonsense, so I find it really humorous. We are not Barack Obama (former US President) or Michelle Obama to make our relationship public. We are just two humble actors. So, I don’t think anyone cares about it. Some days back, Ali had stated to a daily that it’s their friendship which matured over a period of time. Richa further spoke about her upcoming movie ‘Fukrey 2’ by saying, “In ‘Fukrey’, I am paired with Chu Cha (Varun Sharma), so I cannot leave him. My first love is Chu Cha and for that, I feel sorry for Ali but I have to be with Chu Cha. The teaser of the film has already come, so of course, the trailer will also come closer to (film’s) release. The film is releasing on December 8.” The first part ‘Fukrey’ released in the year 2013 and Ali and Richa who had starred in it, are rumoured to be dating since more than a year now.
