Richa Chadha was offered to play Hrithik Roshan’s mother

With actors playing different age groups on screen with such perfection, it becomes kind of difficult to figure out their original age. And this is exactly what happened with the very talented Richa Chadha.

In her recent interview with Anupama Chopra, the actress revealed how because of her role in ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, people started thinking that she was more interested in doing older characters or the ones which required her to curse, none of which was true. But, things got to another level, when she was offered to play Hrithik Roshan‘s mother in ‘Agneepath’.

“I got a random call from a random casting director, who hadn’t even seen Gangs, he knew what I looked like… but they called me to play something really ridiculous… Hrithik Roshan’s mother in Agneepath! I was like do you know what I look like? I’m just going to take a photo and send it to you. Don’t do this to me! And they were like ‘nahi, humne suna hai aap Nawaz ki mummy ka role kar rahi hain’ and I was like oh my God!” she said.

We are glad the actress finally found her space as a leading lady in Bollywood.
