Richa recalls her initial career days
Richa Chadha said, “I was told don’t choose this. ‘Why are you doing Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!? You are playing a sister. Why are you doing Gangs of Wasseypur? You’re playing an older woman. Why are you doing Bholi Punjaban (Fukrey)? You won’t get heroine parts after this. She’s so rough and tough. Why are you doing Masaan? There’s a very explicit sex scene’. You tell me, where would I be without these films? So, I don’t really listen to people because most people don’t know what they’re talking about. They don’t know what they want. They are only giving you advice.”

Richa talks about facing discrimination
Furthermore, when asked if she ever faced discrimination in the industry, Richa said, “No, who will discriminate and what will they do? It’s people’s choices. People sometimes like to work with their friends so they work with their friends. Maybe now I’m producing, I might also want to work people I’m extremely comfortable with so I’ll work with my friends. It’s like that. It’s a creative process. Agar aapki playlist aur meri playlist mein bohot farak hai aur hume film ka BGM saath mein decide karna hai, toh nahi ho payega (If your playlist and my playlist is different and we have to work on a film’s BGM together thenb that won’t be possible).”
During the candid conversation, Richa also spoke about her secret wedding with Ali Fazal. Richa and Ali tied the knot on 6th October, 2022.
On the work front, Richa recently returned as Bholi Punjaban in Fukrey 3. The third part also featured Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, and Manjot Singh.
