Rimi Sen has been part of superhit movies like Phir Hera Pheri, Golmaal, Dhoom, Hungama and many more. She was one of the most promising stars in Bollywood but she decided to take a step back a few years ago and move away from acting. Rimi had earlier said in an interview that she will only make a comeback now if she gets good offers. But that was not the reason why she began acting at a very young age.
In a recent interview with Times Now Digital, Rimi revealed the real reason why she began acting at a very young age. The Hungama actress said that she was not eager for stardom but was facing financial issues.
Rimi told the portal, “I started working when I was a child, I was in school, and I struggled a lot because I had financial issues at a very early age. Tab toh kaam kar rahi thi, I was like a money-making machine, my focus was money and financial stability. And then this was a very nice platform. I wasn’t looking at fame, stardom, and attention, I never wanted that.” She said that being a producer or director behind the camera makes her happier rather than putting on makeup and being clicked by the paps.

Earlier, in an interview with SpotboyE, Rimi opened up that she will only make a comeback if she is offered good content. “I used to do a lot of events. I also produced a film Budhia Singh- Born To Win which also received a national award. I am working on a couple of projects as a producer and will announce it, if everything gets finalised. Now, if I do acting it will be just for my creative satisfaction and not money,” Rimi had said.
