Remember Rimi Sen? In 2015, she participated in the reality television show Bigg Boss Season 9. She remained in the house for close to two months but was eventually voted out. Rimi was also part of films like Hungama, Baghban, Golmaal, Dhoom, Garam Masala. Rimi has also turned into a producer and produced Budhia Singh- Born To Win which also received a national award.
Speaking to SpotboyE Rimi said, “I was doing quite well 10 years back but I was only being offered comedy movies. And I was looking for my creative satisfaction which I wasn’t getting out of the movies which I have done. I wanted to work in projects with directors like Shree Ram Raghvan, Soojit Sircar, Neeraj Pandey. But I didn’t get. So it was a concious decision from my side to stop. I wanted to change the trend of me doing comedy movies and furniture roles.”
Remembering her initial days in the industry Rimi shared that she never thought of acting as a career but as a job. She added that working on films was a matter of survival for her. the Hungama actor said, ‘in this industry, 99.9% luck matters’ and if the PR and lobbying are ‘solid’, then one will make it big. She added that ‘talent’ is far behind. Sen shared that with age she learned these things and rediscovered herself. She said that it took ten years for her to realise what she wants from her life. The bong beauty is all set to resume acting again and concentrating a lot on her fitness. She says, “I have changed a lot and I think this change has come for my betterment only. I never cared about my body that time. I never went to the gym, I used to eat anything, didn’t follow any diet. But now I have learnt how to take care of myself. I have started understanding my body and mind.”

But a decade without work is quite a tough task to survive, how well you have managed? She says, “I used to do a lot of events. I also produced a film Budhia Singh- Born To Win which also recieved a national award. I am working on a couple of projects as a producer and will announce about it, if everything gets finalised. Now, if I do acting it will be just for my creative satisfaction and not money.” So what she is working on now? She says, “Not yet but I am sure when people will learn that I am ready to make a comeback as an actor things will come to me. People are looking for good actors and I am hoping that they will consider me.”
