Priyanka Chopra on thespian Dilip Kumar’s demise: Today the curtains have come down on one of India’s greatest

Bollywood’s most celebrated icon and megastar Dilip Kumar breathed his last on Wednesday. The 98-year-old actor was battling several age related issues. The news of his death left his fans and followers all across the world heartbroken. Condolences and tributes started pouring in from all over the world. Priyanka Chopra too paid a heartfelt tribute to Dilip Kumar. The actress shared a few throwback picture and clips from the late actor’s renowned film Saudagar.

Priyanka took to her Instagram handle and shared a clip of the late actor’s interview with BBC. Apart from that she also posted a clip from the thespian’s Saudagar film. Alongside these clips, Priyanka wrote, “हक़ हमेशा सर झुका के नहीं… सर उठा के मांगा जाता है|” – सौदागर. यूसुफ साहब ने ज़िन्दगी सर उठा के जी है| उनसे मिलने का मौका बहुत कम लोगों को मिला था, लेकिन उनमे से एक खुशनसीब मैं हूँ| जबसे मैंने सायरा जी और यूसुफ साहब को जाना है मुझे उनसे सिर्फ और सिर्फ प्यार और दुआऐं मिली है| उनसे मिलना, कुछ हलकी बातें करना, मैं अपनी ज़िन्दगी के कुछ सबसे हसीन पलों में गिनती हूँ|”

Further offering her condolences PeeCee added, “Yusuf Saab’s contribution to the Arts is invaluable and irreplaceable.. Today the curtains have come down on one of India’s greatest. An end of an era. My condolences to Saira ma’am and the family. Rest in peace.”

Dilip Kumar’s legacy will live on forever. For his immense contribution to cinema, he was laid to rest with full state honors.
