Rishi Kapoor had planned a grand wedding for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in 2020?

Rishi Kapoor left a huge void in the nation after he passed away on April 30, 2020. He had huge plans for his son Ranbir Kapoor and his wedding. Did you know that he was planning a grand wedding for Ranbir and Alia in 2020? Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be getting married this month and the preparations are already underway.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai recently revealed in an interview that Rishi Kapoor had revealed to him in 2020 that he was planning Ranbir’s wedding to Alia Bhatt in December that year. But unfortunately, those plans remained as Rishi Kapoor passed away in April.

Subhash told Bombay Times, “I remember in January 2020, when I had gone to meet Rishi Kapoor at his home to invite him to receive WWI Maestro award 2020 at our annual convocation of Whistling Woods International. We had a long chat as good friends. He was so happy to share with me that they were planning his son Ranbir’s marriage with Alia in December 2020 in a big way. But he left us all with a deep grief suddenly.”

The filmmaker further added, “Today, I am so happy that Ranbir and Alia are finally fulfilling his dream. I wish both a happy married life, the way I always did for Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt’s uncle Robin Bhatt had confirmed that the actress will be getting married to Ranbir on April 14. The wedding will take place at Ranbir RK House as per the reports.  The RK Studios and Krishna Raj Bungalow have already been decked up with lights.
