Rishi Kapoor’s sister and Shweta Bachchan’s mother-in-law Ritu Nanda passes away

Rishi Kapoor’s sister and Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s mother-in-law Ritu Nanda breathed her last on January 14, in New Delhi. Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to her Instagram handle to share the sad news.

Sharing a picture of her aunt, Riddhima wrote, “To the kindest most gentle person I‘ve ever met – They don’t make them like you anymore – RIP bua #missyoualways❤️??”

As soon as Riddhima shared the heartbreaking news of her aunt’s demise, her friends started pouring condolences on her post. Filmmaker and TV producer Ekta Kapoor wrote, “Heartfelt condolences”

Ritu Nanda was married to Rajan Nanda. Their son Nikhil Nanda is married to Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda.

Ritu was 71-year-old and the cause of her death is said to be her long battle with cancer. As per a report in ABP news, Ritu’s last rite will be performed today at 1.30 pm at Lodhi Road cremation ground in Delhi.
