Rishi Kapoor and Salman Khan

The current talk topic of Bollywood is Salman Khan’s comparison of himself with a raped woman. It created a big controversy when Salman made that comment. Social activists, National Commission for Woman and many people demanded an apology from him, but he maintains that he did not mean what he said. Well, it seems veteran actor Rishi Kapoor too believes that Salman did not mean what he said. He is being phrased out of context and unnecessarily a controversy is being created.

In his latest interview, Rishi Kapoor gave an analogy to explain that he really did not mean what he said. He was quoted saying, “I don’t think he meant it. I’m sure he didn’t mean it. There are times when you’re narrating something… let me give you an example. There was a time when Dara Singh used to make films. He was this tough man. So the street language became ‘Arey! Apne aap ko badaa Dara Singh samajhta hai?’ In our local language… main maantaa hoon galat baat hai… you say sometimes “I’m raped yaar”… hota hai… You say you’re spaced out, it doesn’t mean you’ve gone to space. You say you’re screwed, doesn’t mean you’re screwed. You don’t mean it. Analogy boliye ye similie jo de raha thha, he didn’t mean it.”

Well, he makes sense. Though later Rishi Kapoor said that Salman’s comment was improper and made at a wrong time, but people do make analogies and it’s a fact. So, what do you think? Should Salman Khan apologies or not? Let us know in the comment section below.
