Veteran actress Rita Bhaduri passes away at 62

Veteran television and Bollywood actress, Rita Bhaduri is no more. The 62-year-old actress, who was also a part of the Gujarati Film Industry, passed away today morning. Renowned actor Shishir Sharma, who was last seen in Alia Bhatt’s ‘Raazi’, broke the sad news on his Facebook handle.

He wrote, “We deeply regret to inform you that Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday at 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East. Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being .. a mother to many of us.. will miss u Ma…”

The cause of her death is kidney failure. According to a few reports, the actress was suffering from a serious kidney issue and was in the hospital for the last ten days. Bhaduri has worked in around 70 films in her Bollywood career. She has also been a part of famous television shows like ‘Khichdi’, ‘Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai’, and ‘Kumkum’, to name a few.
