Riteish Deshmukh’s wife Genelia D’Souza reveals her kids were unaware of her acting career

Actor and wife of Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza who has done notable films in the South has also delivered some incredible films in Bollywood. She is remembered for her roles including Aditi in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Bindhiya in Masti or Mini in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. But surprisingly, Genelia recently revealed that her husband Riteish Deshmukh and her sons Riaan and Rahyl were unaware of her acting career for the longest time. That’s right! In an interview with a portal, the Force actor revealed that her kids thought their mother was at home while their father Riteish goes out, dances and comes back.

“For the longest time, they didn’t know that I was an actor. They thought Aai was at home and Baba only goes out, dances and comes back. They haven’t really been a part of our shooting lives as much because we didn’t take them to that,” the actor told SpotboyE.com. However, Genelia took her kids to the sets of Riteish’s Housefull 4 sets. “The first time they realised about our work was when Riteish was doing the Bala song. It was the first time I took them to the shoot, and my elder son was so unimpressed saying, ‘What are you doing baba? You are only dancing’,” she added.

Meanwhile, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza met on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam. Soon after, love started brewing between them. They went on to star in several movies including, Masti, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and more. The two tied the knot on February 3, 2012. The couple got married in two different traditions — the first was in Marathi rituals, which was followed by a Christian wedding in the church on the next day.
