‘Rock On 2’ leaves Shraddha Kapoor mentally bruised

Music is a medium of expression, and unless you feel it, you won’t get it right. Well, may be this is why Shraddha Kapoor got so emotional while playing a musician in her upcoming film ‘Rock On 2’. Shraddha’s character apparently had a huge impact on her and she was left mentally bruised because of it. At least this is what she has to say when asked how challenging her role as Jiah Sharma is in the film.

She recently said, “My character’s name is Jiah Sharma and she’s a musician. She plays the keyboard and she sings. Jiah is a moody vagabond. I got mentally bruised while playing this role. It was a tough journey because it’s an intense film and an intense character. There were days when I just wanted to sit and weep because I was thinking about my character. There is something that had happened in her life which I kept thinking about as I found it disturbing.”

Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, ‘Rock On 2’ is a sequel to 2008’s hit ‘Rock On’. The band comprising of Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli is back to entertain us. Shraddha is a new entrant to the band and she seems to have blended quite well in the team.
