The family entertainer, which features talented actors Ranveer Singh and Alia  Bhatt in the titular roles, has opened to positive response. The film is jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. Along with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, it also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles among many others. The story and screenplay of the film are penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. While it’s music has been composed by Madan Mohan and Pritam.
