Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani teaser: Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh give out couple fashion goals

Karan Johar returns to the director’s chair after 7 years with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. And the recently released teaser proved that the wait was worth it. It has everything you would expect from a KJo directorial- love, grandeur, heartbreak, exotic locales and good music. But the chemistry between Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh is indeed the film’s USP.

And not just their chemistry, but their fashion statement is also quite eclectic. You expect the best looks out there when it comes to a KJo film and he has delivered. Here’s some of the moments from the teaser that give major couple fashion goals.

The Twinning Game

Alia and Ranveer seem to have aced their twinning game in the film. They give the Suraj Hua Maddham vibes as they spread their arms in black. Not just that, the traditional co-ords in red they have worn for the Durga Puja section is just divine. But the blue twinning game as they lie on the floor in rain has to be a scene-stealer. The duo looks exquisite in it and the chemistry is just oozing out like crazy. Adding a little sensuality, the stairs sequence in black is just exemplary.

The snow connection

How we had been missing romantic Bollywood songs shot in the snowy mountains. The heroine wearing a chiffon saree as it blows in the wind. Karan has brought that extravagance back with this film. Be it the red saree Alia is wearing as Ranveer compliments it in a black checkered blazer, or her navy blue look supported by Ranveer’s white ensemble, it just looks dreamy.

Alia’s white saree and Ranveer’s maroon blazer just seem perfect together and are one of our favourites. The colour combination switches too in another frame and looks as perfect.

The contrast game

Even in the frames where there isn’t a theme per say, the looks of Alia and Ranveer just compliment each other. Alia’s yellow saree with Ranveer’s black shirt with red XO written all over it is refreshing to the eye. The green and black contrast in a heartbreaking scene accentuates the emotion. Each and every frame of the teaser is like poetry in motion. The fashion quotient just takes the whole film up a notch.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, along with Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. The film’s first look was released on Karan’s birthday on May 25 amid much excitement. It will release theatrically on July 28, 2023.
