‘Rocky Handsome’ gets an ‘A’ certificate, John Abraham disappointed

Bollywood actor John Abraham is returning to action films with Nishikant Kamat’s ‘Rocky Handsome’. However, the Censor Board seems to be playing a spoilsport. Just when the film’s promotions are going on in ]full swing, the film has been given an ‘A’ certificate!

Prohibiting viewers below 18 years of age does reduce a film’s audience to a considerable extent. When asked if he was expecting something like this to happen, John’s answer was a clear ‘No’.

“Yes, It threw us. I was left scratching my head! But I guess it’s part of life and a part of the film-making process and you got to deal with it. I feel it won’t affect the commercial outcome of our film,” John was quoted saying to DNA.

“We have consciously tried to bring about a change in our presentation of action in the film. Action is always synonymous with blood and gore. We made it very palatable for women and for kids. Our action isn’t gory. It’s cool, sexy and urban and we like it that way,” he added.

When asked how is he coping up with it, John said he was opting for an “intelligent promotional campaign” for ‘Rocky Handsome’ to be marketed.
