John Abraham’s much awaited action thriller, ‘Rocky Handsome‘, is set to hit the screens on March 25, 2016. Touted to be John’s return to action genre, the film traces the journey of a man who embarks on a murderous rampage after the kidnapping of a 7-year-old girl.
With a solid plot like this, it was even more important to create the right buzz and reach out to the maximum target audience. It was thus imperative for the makers of the film to adopt a unique strategy for the same. That is when the makers tied up with Digi Osmosis India, who came up with an innovative three tier digital marketing approach for ‘Rocky Handsome’ trailer.
In an attempt that was never seen before, it was made possible for fans to pre-book a trailer! With such an innovation, Digi Osmosis, the newly incepted mar-tech agency, in partnership with John Abraham and Azure Entertainment, expect to take ‘Rocky Handsome’ to new heights with a unique digital campaign. All one had to do was log into their Facebook account, and subscribe for the trailer through a link on the ‘Rocky Handsome’ page. The subscriber then became one of the few to watch the trailer before the world saw it. It thus became an exclusive preview for the die-hard fans, and the film turned into one of the most anticipated blockbusters this year.
Earlier this year, Digi Osmosis had carried out an event for ‘Rocky Handsome’ on Twitter. Every tweeter who posted a tweet with a certain hash tag received a personalised ‘Rocky Handsome’ poster with a small message. And there was a teaser link attached to every message that took the impressions to nearly 1.1 million!
Another activity, in which Digi Osmosis played a role, was a Facebook Live with John Abraham. The star held a Q&A session with his fans on his Facebook page on March 8, 2016, and garnered nearly 3 lakh views!
