From mud-slinging against each other to media trials, the Bollywood industry has gone through a lot this year. Even many actors turned against each other and slammed each other on social media.
We recently spoke to Rohit Roy and asked his views on the chaos that the industry is currently facing. He said, “So far as our industry is concerned, this has been a really trying time for the industry, mud-slinging and accusing people left, right and centre and so many agendas are going around. I have never witnessed this kind of acrimonious slanderous diatribe against our industry. We are actors and we are normal people and not made of a different kind of stuff. To label, the entire industry based on one agenda, is I think very unfair. It should be deemed illegal as well.”
He added, “So many people think of individuals. Individuals have nothing to do with any of it. But still, their names have been dragged into it unnecessarily. Actors are talking about each other in a bad light. I personally supported somebody on Twitter and got trolled. These trolls have no faces.”
Rohit further said, “This has been really a sad time all around and frustrations are very high, several camps have several agendas and I am too small to even comment on it because I don’t want to. I don’t know who is thinking what anymore and having said that I think we can blame the situation for it and the chaos which is going on in general across the globe.”
