The nepotism and outsider vs insider debates have been going on since years now. But after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, these debates sparked again and can of worms opened. All these debates took a political turn and from social media to news channels, these topics grabbed the limelight. There was even mud-slinging on star kids and insiders of the industry.
Talking about nepotism and outsider-insider debates, Rohit Roy told us, “There is nothing wrong with this insider-outsider business and nepotism. A lot of my friends in the industry are insiders. I am an outsider but I have equal love and affection for them and vice versa. Someone like Abhishek (Bachchan) is extremely close to me; he is like a brother to me. He is a very hardworking, efficient and down to earth kind of person. Look up to those kinds of actors. There is space for everybody.”
He added, “I have never thought of myself as an outsider till this whole damn nepotism debate broke out. I have got my opportunities. Some of my films didn’t work, not because I am an outsider but because the films were not good. There is a lot of space for everybody. We should just happily co-exist”.
